Christmas is approaching and my dad would like a sat nav with bluetooth calling functions? I believe its only a choice between the tomtom go models but the website is unclear whether the one v2 supports it. Are there any others to be considered (cheap as possible and touchscreen)?

Thanks
Woody

Some of the Garmin Nuvi models also have bluetooth capability, which might give you an alternative if the TomTom doesn't appeal.

Just got a new Orange M3100 (HTC Hermes?) phone and TomTom Navigator 6. Also bought a good qaulity BlueTooth GPS device. The combination is fantastic. Takes maybe 5 seconds to get a sat lock and you're off.

Much much better than my RoadAngle.

All I need now is a copy of AutoRoute to plot routes on the PC so that I can upload to the phone/TomTom (using a third party conversion utility e.g. Tyres).

CanI just add that they shouldn't be used any way, Mobiles that is, Handheld OR handsfree, no one is that important!

Thanks for the helpful replies i will have a look at the garmin Range. My dad will insist on using a mobile while driving and currently has no hands free which is much worse.
