Garmin sat nav question
Discussion
Hi there, I need some of you advise/knowledge
My wife has just started a new job and ideally needs satnav and hands free phone use.
I have had a quick look at the garmin satnav units which appear to include the ability to allow the use of a hands free bluetooth phone connection.
Questions are;
(1) what model is the best to go for (assuming garmin, unless there are better products out there)
(2) is the phone facility of good quality? i.e clear sound.
(3) can the phone be linked to the radio.
any thoughts/experience on this topic would be much appreciated.
many thanks

I have a Garmin 360 which has European maps, but the 310 is available with similar capabilities for less money if you only require UK coverage.
Bluetooth works fine with my phone, and provides me the hands free operation that I require. It is possible to dial using voice recognition, as you would with the phone itself.
The unit has a small connection on one side which means you can play your MP3s or listen to your telephone conversations or road directions through the car radio, if you use either a cassette player adapter or one of those little FM transmitter things.
Don't know about any other type of Sat Nav as the Garmin is the only one I have ever used.
