Okay - I know this must have been asked 100 times before & I have just read some of these threads - all VERY helpfull but now I've got to make my mind up...

We have a TomTom 300 that we use in a van for UK delivery everyday - the driver loves it! It cost £300 8 month ago.

Now I need one... but for similar money £300 - £330 could I get a satnav thats as good as our TT300 BUT I really want a speedtrap detector as well.

I'm not too fussed on updates - I use an Apple mac computer on OS9 so updates probably arnt going to work from that computer are they?

Please help need to make decision this week!

Im no TT expert (being firmly in the Road Angel Navi camp ) but I believe you can download the camera database for TTs for about £2 a time (as opposed to a monthly subscription)

My main gripe with the TT, from my very limited use (my sister has one), is that the speed camera locations on the TT are not directional, as they are with the Road Angel.

How about the RA Navi 6000? I think thats about in your price bracket? Downside to the RA AFAIK is that you do need to pay a sub to keep it up to date, whereas with the TT you can just pay your £2 when you think you need to update.

Final point. I'm not exactly a techno numpty but I found the TT camera download/install much more complicated than the RAs simple pug in and push one button. All IMHO of course

The other machine worth considering (Ive not used one but many have and are happy with) is the Snooper Indago. Extra £99 gets you lifetime subscription to the updates IIRC

The cameras are directional on the One.

I'd go for the TomTom One, it should fill 99% of peoples needs!

Hmmmm. Not on mine using the GPSworld database. If I've missed something, or another database is better, do tell as that'll reduce the warnings by half and make them twice as useful.
