Are Road Angel any good ?

I am contemplating buying the new road angel and was wondering if it's any good ? Also with the lazer detecting thing is it true that by the time you have been alerted to the lazer you have already been nabbed?

Laser detectors are the same no matter what product you buy, you have to put faith in them so I'd go for one of the products without laser to be honest as if the law is passed for them to be banned then it's useless anyway. To answer the main question I've not had any problems with the database on my Navigator 6000 so far, so would say it's good, everywhere I've been it's not missed a camera. As a thought why not go for the 6000 as it's the same price as the new road angel and also gives you the speed for the cameras not just an alert and has nav mode or full screen road angel which is how I drive around most of the time. Or if you just want a detector without the nav then get the compact, only difference is the size and that it doesn't have laser. Or another idea which is stolen from a thread in here, have a look at www.roadangelmobile.com camera detector on a phone if you have a Nokia symbian phone that is. Maybe a cheaper option. There's loads out there to choose from but if you're looking at Road Angel I'd say the compact or the 6000.
