TomTom Go Classic known problem
Discussion
Hi,
I have an old TomTom Go which I decided to pull out of the cupboard recently to give to my bro and shortly after powering it up the screen went blank but the green light stayed on when plugged in to the charger. I contacted TomTom and they said this is a known problem with the Classic Go and they've taken it back to get repaired free of charge and have also sent me out new chargers. Apparently it's something to do with the car charger sending too high a voltage through or something. I've had this unit for over a year and thought I'd just put this thread up to show the good service provided and in case anyone gets a similar problem. I believe its known also to the 310, 510 and 710.
Well done TomTom

Well done TomTom
I tried that many times but it never solved the problem so TomTom support told me to send it in to them. I actually think my screen was knackered because the amount of times my windscreen mount fell off the windscreen, I did manage to catch the Go all but once so that may have had some influence on it.
