Navman 530 pipeline offer
Discussion
Hi
Wondered if anyone had gone for this offer....

I was going to get a TomTom1 but now tempted by this. Any opinions appreciated. One important factor for me is readability in bright sunshine with roof off!
Cheers

I recently bought a Navman 550 with full Euro maps and used it the other week across Europe on the Furball in my Chimaera. Directions were spot on but it was a bit of a PITA with waypoints, though thats probably more down to me not having read the insx properly than it is the unit.
Only 2 downsides for me were the screen in the sun, though I believe this is a problem for most Navs unless hooded and the volume. It was very hard to hear the voice insx with the roof off and the wind noise when at speed, though was fine at low speeds or roof on.
Overall though I'm happy with it though cannot comment on the 530 directly.
