Need either Major Roads or European maps. Anyone want to burn/ sell me a card/ disc?
Not sure it is as easy as that. The maps need to be registered to the device.
I have looked into it before and failed.

THis is sort of correct. The maps are registered to a particular device. However, there is software that can recreate this identification file so that maps will work on another device. I did know a chap who did this for his Tom Tom, but we're not still in touch unfortunately!
