Snooper Indago or Road Angel Navigator?
Discussion
I've heard a lot of bad stories about the RA Navigator - failure to achieve GPS lock, wrong directions etc. and in my search have decided to stay well clear of it. Theres a number of threads on here that will provide further details.
The Indago is joint top on my list to get along with the Garmin Nuvi 360.
Theres a recent thread on the Indago that lists a retailer offering them for £330, though that is without the laser detector.
If I were you I'd look further into deals for the Indago and also look up the Nuvi 360 or 350

Zip, my (2nd)Nav has run nigh faultlessly for the past 2 months since the latest software update and advice to switch unit off, not use standby.
Never had a direction problem here or in France.

I've had no issues either.
Was that my recent post regarding turning it off or was it before then? I'm just wondering why, if this is the answer, Black Spot don't make the advice widely available.

No, it was Blackspot's advice on the phone, funnily enough just a couple of weeks before your post. I think they now give that advice out generally?
I've used the old and new Road Angel Navigator's and they have fixed the gps lock problem with the new FUI upgrade on the old one and the new 6000 has no such problem locking on, usually takes a minute. If you're after an all out Navigator out of the 2 Road Angel's I'd say that the older one is better. But for the price the new one is still good, get's you where you wanna go and has the standalone Road Angel application for when you don't want to be told where you're going.
Having worked previously for a popular retail outlet and gone to many an exhibition I've used many nav's from other manufacturers. I've also borrowed a friends Indago and used it side by side with the older RA Nav and the database on the RA was far better than that of Snooper as they missed cameras on a long journey, both roadworks and fixed.
Hope that helps
