Hi all

I've just got a Navman ICN530 through the pipeline offer and was looking to put speed camera POI's on it. As Pocket GPS now charge I had a look on the web for alternatives and found this www.scdb.info/

Has anyone used this database and got any feedback on how effective it is. At €9.95 it seems too good to be true compared to £19 for Pocket GPS. The only negative thing I've noticed on their website is that they don't cover mobile units.

Also does anyone know of any other alternatives to the Pocket GPS database.

Thanks

Todd

Don't be a skinflint. What's £19 per year for a database that gets updated every month, compared to a NIP dropping through your letterbox and 3 points on your licence? You've got to keep it in perspective.

I'm entirely being a skinflint, I'm giving myself the excuse of trying to consider alternatives. Plus I'm off to the Le Mans Classic next month, so the French info would be useful.

I think I may do both.

Road Angel are now offering European speed cameras for £19 but only for two products, that's laser detection for you apparantly.

If you buy any Drivesmart product or the coming DS Mercury Nav system all speed camera updates including the whole of Europe is free for life.

Its there own fully direction with speed limits and exact camera types identified(Truvelo/Gatso etc).
5000+ possible Safety van locations and all major EU countries covered as well.
Unique SPECS average speed calculator as well that tells you your average speed in real time in a SPECS area.
As far as I am aware its the only detector that has this cool feature.
