Honda Sat nav and MP3 playing

I've just bought a new 2006 Honda Accord EX with their lovely sat nav system fitted. Yes I know it's a Honda and no I've not had a bus pass for years!!! But I do want to link an MP3 (not Ipod) player to the system. The nice poeple at Honda say they can do it, but I must have their entertainment kit fitted (DVD player flat screens etc) all for £1,600. Call me tight, but I was hopeing for a cable with 3.5mm jack plug and a few quid. Anyone know how you can link into the system?
