Garmin Streetpilot 2620 or Tomtom 510?
Discussion
Off all round france in 2 weeks so need quick and easy to set up solution for sat nav with detailed european (or at least) french maps.
Unit needs to be windscreen mounted in the Mog, so needs to be resistant to high heat levels.
Also, I want to be able to use a computer to enter the route info rather than fiddling about on the unit iteself.
Currently looking at the above units. Streetpilot has detailed europe maps available, Tom Tom apparrently does not (out of box at least).
That seems to put the streetpilot ahead, but it is around about 100 quid more expensive. Plus there seems to be less likelyhood of the streetpilot not working due to having a heated windscreen.
Best Prices I've seen so far :
TomTom 349.00 in PC World
Garmin 449.00 from www.vehicletechnologyproducts.co.u
Anyone know anywhere that does them cheaper?

They do some other stuff, I'm pretty sure.
TomTom's use TeleAtlas maps, which aren't as good as NavTec (IMO). However, TomTom's GUI is probably the best in the business, as are the navigational instructions (again, IMO).
Go for the 910... £450 from PC World with the voucher... you KNOW you want too! (it has the option of a traffic antenna that takes info from RDS)
