Hi,

I've just received the latest Pipeline update and they've negotiated a deal on the new Navman 530 complete with European map CD and free p&p for £239.
Whats the unit like as I was considering going the way of the TomToms but this sounds like a fantastic deal. Whats the Euro map detail like and are they accurate/quick to get GPS fix etc....

Any help would be appreciated as I can't afford to spend this money on the wrong unit.

I was thinking the same thing, and comparing the navman to the tomtom one. not sure which to go for.

I'll join the queue of people asking the same question - looks good at first glance, and the Pipeline deal looks tempting, but is a TomTom a better option?

I decided on a tom tom one. It's marvellous. I've just driven back from Necastle upon tyne to bristol in the noisiest car ever, I made it back with no problems courtesy of the sat nav, best £200 ish I have ever spent.

Does the TT1 come with detailed European maps though? The main reason I'm looking at the 530 is for these as I'd like some electronic backup for the furball next month.

I have the Navman 510 and to be perfectly blunt....it's crap!

The new version may have improved she says with that cynical look in her eye

Wish I had gone for the TomTom now

I only got the Navman as it fitted so nicely in most of my handbags too!! The TomTom's rounded back would have caused problems you see.....

Quite honestly it is always getting me lost as it just gets confused all the time. The ciggy lighter adapter will not fit into my lighter socket so therefore I am unable to charge it on a journey (yes I have been back to the makers....several times in fact) and it won't up load the new updates!
