Clifford alarm problems pls help
Discussion
Hi there,
following you all being so useful regarding my last post (gps receiver) I thought that I would post this latest issue of mine in here. not the correct place, I know, but this seems to be an active an knowledgable forum!
Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but our Clifford Concept 300 alarm is being a bit of a nightmare.
On many occasions, the keyfob will not work when trying to disarm the alarm (new battery fitted incase) this means that the only way to get into the car is to open the doors, set the alarm off and enter the valet code to disarm the alarm. This happens on quite a regular basis, and I know that mobile mast signals can have an effect on cliffords, but the issue is not compounded on certain areas.
In addition to this, it sometimes takes 2-3 attempts of entering the valet code before the alarm is disarmed.
Has anyone had any similar experiences with cliffords and if so, what advise would you suggest - bar getting a new alarm fitted!
Many thanks for any advise passed my way.

Remote fob problem could be down to a dodgy contact in the fob itself. One of mine does this and it's down to plain old wear & tear. Try putting the alarm into valet mode from the keyfob rather than disarming it.
As for the valet code it's one of the only things i hate about Clifford alarms. The code entry method is a bit hit&miss and even worse if the valet switch is in an awkward spot, as most are...

the concept 300 is a good alarm
as allready stated the battery holde comes loose in the r/c and will need resoldering
if it is a early c300 it will have an old aerial , this ahs since been repalced with a upgraded aerial , this will be coverd by cliford wty , but the labour not , also you might find that the valet switch is worn as well ..
where abouts are you in th uk ?
if near surrey / london give me a ring
