Are TomTom maps compatible across programs?

ie Navigator2 to Go?

And can you load Navigator on more than one PDA from one set of disks?

Thanks!

So the fact that I have Nav2 on my current PDA (from a legal copy) means that i have to buy it new AGAIN to put it on my new PDA?

Seems a bit crap that!

Ah right, sorry. Thought you meant at the same time. No, you ought to be OK, but TT has a feature that you cant activate the software on more than one hardware platform within a certain timescale - used to be 6 months.

It might mean having to ring the support line, but most PDA software providers do allow you to change devices during the lifespan of the software. DO expect an upgrade pitch which you may not be able to resist, mind..

Maps do work across programmes - I'm using my Go map of Europe on my PDA with TTNav 5.21 - as mentioned, the activation code is the thing.

Navigator is Windows, and TTG is Linux... how did you get the maps from one to work on the other..!?!

Don't know, don't care - they just do!

(But that explains why the extra programmes I loaded onto my TTGo don't work on Navigator, so thanks for explaing that one Pod. )

Odd... couldn't get the Nav maps from 3.x to work on the TTG. maybe 5.x is different.

TT1 maps only work on TT1, TT3 on TT3 etc. TT5 version 5.0,5.1 and 5.21 all work as there still version 5. TTgo is basically TT5 but already installed on your TTGO device not a PDA. Hope this helps
