Quite often when I arrive at a destination I 'Add' it as a favourite.

Just a few questions:

1. How can I backup my favourites & recent destinations?
2. Can I share/email my favourites & recent destinations with others?
3. Is it possible to review a journey showing the route, time and speed info?

Cheers

If you connect your TT to the PC, it looks like an additional drive, you can create back-ups from there. Make sure the TT is connected to the mains.

Look for the "Setup" icon on you PC, normaly can be found with any downloaded maps. then look for the Back up my TomTom option.

Thanks for the reply Mutley

I should have said, I use a PDA for TT5. Do you know the files to be backed up as I can just copy them to my PC.

I keep the maps on a SD card and back it up to a toshiba laptop with the built-in card reader. Just copy the entire county folder as it can be then put onto any other SD card without having to install it from DVD.

Thanks

My maps are stored on the SDcard too but does this folder also store the data you create i.e. you arrive at a desination and then add it as a GPS position?

I've added a few together with my regular destinations - this is what I'd like to backup and also share with others.

So how can you transfer a set of favorites from one TTG to another TTG then? I'd like to be able to share some of the ones I've setup etc...

Never used a TTG, only the PDA version.

If you want to copy you favorites to another PDA you need to copy the following file from the Country Map Folder on the PDA:-

Great-Britain-Map

Be warned, you can't amalgamate your favorites into one file easily. The file will open with notepad. Here is a small selection from mine:-
