As the topic says

I like the Tom tom but really just want it to get me into the 21st century. I don't want a speed detector just something that will save me getting out my old map.

what do others have and recommened

thanks

Becker Indianapolis best fixed unit I have used, TomTom 1 best 'portable' but not in the same league. Tried all current kit as use 'for work' and all have been used in 'company cars'on trial. As of August 2006 we will only be using Becker and TT1s.

TomTom are brilliant - even the basic GO 300 is good.

To be honest I'm not sure! One thing I would try and get (and, again, I'm not sure which models have it), is the bluetooth handsfree mobile feature. Makes a lot of sense!

Have a look in Halfords....they might have demos running. They were running TT1 and TT Go 910 running last time I was in.

TT1 is thin, so good for the pocket. The 910 has a 20Gb hard disk and does all sorts of daft things.

www.tomtom.com

All the info there....
