I have a Navman iCN 610 which I have had for just over two years.

Cracking bit of kit, has never let me down. Bought it at the time because Costco were flogging them for around £70 cheaper than you could get them anywhere else.

Drawbacks:

No internal battery (if you drive a car that cuts power to the cigar lighter when you turn off the ignition key (petrol station for example) your stnav also goes off.

Postcode search is good, but only searches to the fourth or fifth character - ie NG1 2xx, DE22 8xx, L1 4xx (you get the idea) which means a bit more searching required for some destinations.

If I was in the market for new kit today, I would go for a TomTom, but I don't see the point of changing my trusty old NavMan!

I have the ICN510 and it has been very good. However...

Recently I upgraded to the latest operating system (ST2005) and new European maps. I have to say that I am pi55ed off that the latest UK map does not include the new A1 routing down to and around Ferry Bridge which had been under construction for 2 1/2 years and opened late last year. Not having this in the maps is poor in my opinion.

Anyone comment on the TOM TOM having this new routing?
