The old chesnut that a CD only costs 2p.
The actual paper in an atlas is probably worth less than 50p so why does the atlas cost a tenner? Because you're paying for the research and data not just the raw material - same with a mapping CD/DVD. However, I do agree that the prices of mapping CD/DVDs does seem rather high.
