Tom Tom and Snooper Indago

are the TT and the Snooper Indago illegal in France, Italy, etc?

Ok, looking at that link, it seems to me that the Snooper Indago would be fine in Europe as it is does not have radar or laser detection (it would be pretty useless as it does not have Europer maps). The TomTom is the same, it does not have radar or laser detection either (although it would be more useful if you got one with Europe maps in).
