Hi all

I'm looking to make two tweaks to my Tom Tom One and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas.

1. Can't remember how I have doen this but basically I get more warning about a gatso on a motorway than I do about it in a 30 limit. However this falls apart if it is a scamera point that is parked over a faster road...for example just outside Coventry they park a scamera on a small B road (30 limit) but pointing at the A46. So by the time it warns you it's too late.

2. Is there any way to disable direction prompts but keep the audible scamera warnings? For example, there might be a route that you know failry well and obviously do not need prompts on, but you like to have it as a planned route so you know your ETA etc. Or, you only need voice prompts at the other end when you leave the motorway, but you know full well how to get onto the motorway at this end. You can of course disable the sounds but then you dont get audible scamera warnings.

Over to you...

As to point 1, you probably loaded the camera database which is split into speed groups (pocketgps).

For point 2, I think you're right - can't be done.

(Not a lot of help but I just thought you were getting lonely here)

There is a voice file about called no sound or something similar, this will give you directions without voice. Or you can just run tomtom without a route planned and it will give no directions as there is no route planned. It will still warn of cameras if you have the "warn only if on route" option turned off in the poi warning.

Or altenatively look out of the windscreen for yellow boxes by the side of the road
