FM RDS-TMC traffic routing on Garmin 2720?

I'm thinking of upgrading my Garmin 2620 to the 2720 as it has a few features that would be useful to me, in particular the traffic routing facility, however I'm not sure how accurate and effective this is.

Has anyone here got any experience of using a satnav system with the FM RDS-TMC service, and is it any good?

I have an AA Navigator with the TMC option. Works well. Had it for about a month and happy with it. It has redirected me twice and I have ignored a further once. So its not too bad. As with most things its down to the quality of the data it gets and this does vary on a day to day basis. But it is improving and they can be quite impressively accurate.

Do be warned though - TMC broadcasts are about every 15 minutes. Its not instant and you might get caught before you get the information. Like I said, not perfect but better than nothing and free to receive.
