I know sweet fanny adams about sat nav but www.medion.co.uk have £50 off their smartphone 5 in 1 gizmo incl sat nav etc. I have no idea if it's any good but £150 for a tri band phone, mp3 player, camera phone (a poor one), personal organiser all network free seemed a good deal to me. So much so I bought one. I was in Halfords earlier and they are trying to sell it £300 still - and that's reduced!

That was a public service announcement.....

PS It hasn't arrived yet, it may be shite!!

Update, even though nobody seems to care!

Ordered Friday pm and afirst tried to deliver Tuesday afternoon. Medion chose to deliver it by parcelforce rather than post office so had to arrange time off the next day to receive it when I could have just popped round the post office ont he way to work to pick it up.

Seems to work OK, the whole mounting exercise is a bit involved but i got it to direct me to work this morning and it managed that OK. Couldn't get the voice thing to work but that could just be me being thick. Phones pretty good as well, pretty colours etc, does everything you want it to.

On first inspection well worth £150. And I got a 3mp camera / webcam with tripod, bag and strap for £18 at the same time.

Eh? I bloody replied on this thread.... what is going on...?

I did post up that the Medion stuff is actually pretty good and they have done really well in Germany. Still, too late now...

No problem with the stuff so far apart from a distinct lack of assistance form both Medion and Virgin on how to set up the WAP and GPRS access, finally solved from another source. Bit difficult to mount, I'm in a Lotus Elise so the windscreen is effectively 8 inches high which means that to mount it on the glass requires it halfway up and in the middle, which the BiB will have something to say about I'm sure. The GPS etc is all modular so it's a bit bulky but it's a phone AND a satnav and it does other stuff as well, so never going to be as good as a sole purpose device.
