Hi All,

Big multi-million dollar question for you here.

Ive one of those rubber suction things for mounting my GPS speed camera ditty to the windscreen..

Well the point is.. it doesnt. Maybe my Chim has a teflon screen or something

Any tips for good suction? (try and keep it clean. )

cheers,

Nick

You could try a LITTLE bit of Vaseline or similar, ‘spit’ can dry out over a short period of time allowing air to seep by but something like the above will have greater staying power

(seriously)

Make sure you are not trying to mount it on a curved bit of glass, find a flat area to mount it. Also sorry if its insulting your intelligence but some have a lever to give it etra suction, use that if you haven't allready.

Had the same problem with mine - lick finger, rub around the edge, push it really hard and then flip the lever over. Worked for me.

And that's as clean as I could keep it !!!!!!!!

I'm just about to buy a PDA/TT5 GPS system.
Problem is - what mobile mount to use? Do they all have a lever for the sucker?
How good are the flexy mounts? Does a chunky PDA (Dell X51V) keep it up OK, or will it need some mechanical viagra to stop it drooping onto the dash. Or do you just let it rest on the dash anyway for support?
