Anyone using this system ?

From the discussions I've had, this system is far superior to anything else around for the money. Given they have 90% of the production installation market, the unit runs NavTeq mapping rather than TeleAtlas (Tom Tom use this and it's not as good), and the whole of Europe is included, 27 countries, I can't see why you'd buy a Tom Tom or alternative instead for less than £400 ?

Cant remember where I read a review but it slated the Becker - said it was slow, dim-witted, poor detail on the maps and crashed a lot. Might all be rubbish of course, but I would check it out first. I noticed that Blaupunkt have got into the removable's market now - must be somewhere you can check them out before buying....?

I've used a demo Becker unit that was slightly slower than others, but nothing I would be duly concerned over.

The quality of the mapping is the key ingredient for me ... There has been an upgrade to the latest Becker units in terms of processing power, but i hadn't heard it crashed a lot.

Can't find many reviews at the moment ...

Many new units do so though I suppose, like RA Nav did with it's new units ...
