Guys, following on from the Garmin's for £99 thread, Quiksave & Somerfields have dropped the PDA prices from £279 to £129. These are the Micromaxx PP150 (also known as Mio 168) with built in GPS however at these prices they are selling out FAST !!!

Just come back from my local Somerfields and they have loads left on the shelf, would've bought one if I thought I needed one!

Just bought the PDA, v impressed, comes with Navigator5 and there is always the option to load TomTom onto it. At that price its got to be a bargain even if you don't need one !

I bought the mio 268 at Somerfields this afternoon for a steal £129:00 half price.

And the sticker on the box tells you that you get the free upgrade, but you don't there should be a cd rom included in the package to allow the upgrade.
This to my dismay is discovered only after installing the stuff and trawling through loads of web sites.

Just had a chat with a very helpful guy at said store ..refund is going to be credited to my card tomorrow.

Unless somebody knows how to get the free upgrade?

dont miss the portable DVD players as well!! I got one for £59 with lcd screen etc for the car (with car kit). It is a daewoo. Which ? Mags best buy.
Same model was 179 euros at Amsterdam airport today!
I love Somerfields now , I even emailed them to tell them! They wrote back and got a mail from head office who are making their MD aware that I am delighted!

Hi all,

Been trying to get hold of one of these GPS Systems but have had no joy - does anyone know of any stores that still have them?

Regards

Peter

The cost of these in the UK is coming down. While in the US; I used the Nextel/Motorola mobile phone with Sat Nav! Had half a day when the whole system went down; but otherwise it was fairly good.
