Navman 510 - Any known problems ?

I was about to buy a Navman 510 premium with the European maps,(yes the old model but its cheap so - hey!).

Then I read some old reports about problems locking on, 10 minutes from start up etc, and not at all if you drive off before it is locked on.

I think there was a software upgrade in early '05, but is anyone aware of any issues with this unit ? I couldn't find anything on a forum search.
