Tom Tom 700 advice for a computer illiterate please

Hi

Santa left me a TomTomGo 700 for Xmas which I wish to upgrade with the speed (sorry...safety) camera option. The problems I have are

- My computer is a Company one and wont allow access to download the freebie safety camera stuff as posted elsewhere on here

No problem - Im not averse to paying EUR70 or whatever it is to get the TomTom official one, however

- My mobile is not GPRS (whatever that is!) enabled/set up. The official site only seems to give instructions via this channel

So the question is

- Is it possible to download the stuff from the official TomTom site without the need for GPRS on the mobile phone? (NB Im not really interested at this stage in traffic updates etc so will not need real time info)

If there are any positive answers to the questions posed out there, could I have them back in English because, as the thread title suggests, I am a computer numptie!!
