Numpty guide to updating poi's on PDA
Discussion
Hi all - I'm running TomTom Navigator for the Pocket PC ver 5.000 on my Orange SPV M500.
I need a numpty guide to updating my POIs (which someone else loaded for me) as I just can't work it out.
Any advice gladly received!
I've managed to find the database to download myself at www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras.php !

Right get over to www.poiedit.com/ and download PoiEdit....
When you have, install it and then get over to www.pocketgpsworld.com/POIEdit3-install.php for instructions on how to set it up and get it automatically updating the PoI's.
Funny you should post this as I eventually got around to doing it on mine only 1 hour ago....

My son loaded the camera POIs to my 700 but your post implies that this software updates the info automatically which sounds ideal.
How does it work, where does it get its data and by what route GPRS?
Thanks
Steve
You choose from a list of databases on the internet (I suggest the one mentioned in the thread - its well respected), and select a country. Then you select the POIs you want to add to your system, and tell the software where they are stored in the system.
From then on, it's almost automatic
