BMW wouldnt start yesterday - flat battery. Its only 3 years old and ive had it from new with no problems. Only thing I did differently was to leave the RA Nav plugged into the cigar lighter for about 5 hours on the drive by mistake.

Could that have done it?? the RA is tiny and shouldnt have drain the battery surely?

Any satnav type equipment will use more power if it can't gain a signal than when it can (in a garage, satellites obscured by buildings etc.), so if left it will use a steady but low amount of power over time.
