Dixons do a 700 for £395 online, well worth the extra £20 for the European maps.

Not any more It's now £420 on Dixons and pricerunner can only do £416.

Comet do the 500 at £341 though (£375 in-store) so that's where I'm heading!

If I can find it on the shelf at less than £400 (ideally at the £370 mark) then it's getting bought today!

Not a bad price right now it would seem. Over the last week Amazon have gone from £416 to £499 and back down to £439 while I've had one sitting in my cart, most strange...

The discount code was as shown on www.find-tomtom-deals.co.uk, some sort of promotion for buying online.

The show the best price right now is £419 at Maplin, if using a £30 discount they offer when subscribing to their newsletter.

However, over Christmas at Comet I got them to lower the price to £400, so just go in and ask for the manager and threaten to take your business to Amazon etc. if they won't budge.

if you phone [phone] they have tom tom 500 for £329 and are really helpful.
no one could hear me speak on my 500 that i bought from pcworld soooo unhelpful they didnt have any more so i got a refund ..went to currys and they were 400+ anyway i found these on the internet andd whats more they really helped. it should arrive today. have they brought out an updated one as i notice halfords say v2 after the model number??
