Ok, so I got me a tomtom one recently and have the latest upgrade - why, then, doesn't it acknowledge the existence of a new 5 mile bypass which has been open for a year now??
Nice piece of kit otherwise....

TomTom don't provide the map data, that is provided by TeleAtlas as I recall, and they receive a license to use a particular version of that data. My house didn't exist on their maps in TomTom 3, haven't got TomTom 5 yet to check against.

Unfortunately TeleAtlas isn't the best (NavTeq is said to be) and TomTom (like others) only release new mapping data with major releases of the software, so if TeleAtlas release the maps mid next year and Tom Toms version 6 software is released in 2007 - you have to wait until then.
