My brother is about to go to South Africa working for 6 months. He wants to buy a portable/all in one satnav (TomTom etc?) which he can use over there but obviously one that he can use when he returns. Anyone know if Tom Tom do a map for South Africa? Ive looked on their website and they only mention UK & Europe.

No idea, I'll try and ask around here for you though...
Mind you, they use data from TeleAtlas or NavTeq, which both cover most of the world, just depends if the SatNav provider has enough of a market to resell the data.
