To be honest i`ve never really considered a Sat Nav system, mainly because of the cost, and the limited use it would get, however MAKRO have this system on offer at the moment, i have Googled it and it appears to be a new unit, so the chances of any one having one at the moment is probabily slim, but if any one has it can you give me some feed back please?
Thanks Tony

Hi Tony,
Saw the Sat-Nav system in Makro too. The only thing that might be worth checking is what type of Windows application it is running. I found that the dedicated Sat-Nav systems like this one generally have 'WindowsCE' which is fine if you are just using it for this purpose. I went for a pocket PC from Novatech in the end which has a built in GPS receiver as this has a different version of Windows which allows me to keep my diary on there, add software, sync with lap top etc.
If its just for sat-nav, that unit looks good for the money.
Make sure the speaker volume is loud enough in the TVR
Mark.

Hi,
I have the 6800 and its a good pice of kit, works realy well plus the camera database works well (but not as good as a roadangel). The speaker is not that loud, but I can just (and I mean just) about hear it in my Caterham, with the roof down. And yes it does run Windows CE, at the Makro price of £199 + vat its a dam good deal.

Doug.
