Wireless car play converters, the Ottocast mini cube 3.
Discussion
So my soon to be new to me car has wired car play but not wireless car play.
My previous car had it and it was a nice touch.
I'm looking at spending sub £50 on one of those wireless adaptors.
The Ottocast mini cube 3 keeps appearing on various feeds after just one search (cheers algorithms) and its the top dog for £38 plus postage apparently.
Anyone have one in a vag group car of the 2016-2019 vintage and if so how does it perform and am I better buying something cheaper / more expensive ?

You don't need to spend that much. It sounds like your car has a MIB2 system, the one with the eight inch screen. One of these will work fine.

That cube thing looks a bit clunky. The Ottocast Mini is very small and discrete and costs anything from £20 from AliExpress to £50 from Amazon if you need it quickly
Works perfectly with my Porsche PCCM+ retrofit. I wasted some money on a cheap no-name adapter before following a recommendation for Ottocast, recommend you try not to do the same
