Peugeot JBL Audio losing channel
Discussion
I've have a 2011 Peugeot 508 SW as a work mile muncher that has, allegedly, got the JBL upgrade.
It's been working fine for the past year, but has suddenly developed an annoying habit of dropping all speaker output, bar one, after about 15 minutes. It's not a sudden switch off, but gradually fades over a few seconds. Started about a week ago when the right channel would drop after about an hour, but has developed as above.
I thought it would be a thermal cut out on the amp, but would that not just cut a channel like a switch? Also, it started as the weather got colder, so seems odd that it would be a thermal thing.
I kind of need to know which bit needs replacing, amp or head unit, rather then take a stab and potentially waste my money.
Thanks
