Hi folks I just bought a 12 plate with an android stereo screen installed, has a microphone but no buttons on the steering wheel for the unit apart from the main unit.
I’m using an iPhone 13 plus and trying to connect CarPlay but asks me to tap the talk button on the steering wheel which I don’t have with it being an android added, that didn’t come with the car any ideas how to connect CarPlay with my iPhone.

You need Apple CarPlay to connect. When you refer to Android screen, are you referring to Android Auto? Or is it a Honda with an Android display for the head unit?

It’s an added android system but when I’m trying to connect CarPlay it’s asking me to press the talk button on my steering wheel but because it’s not an original unit I don’t have and talk button on my steering wheel

Simply put, no Apple Car Play = limited to Bluetooth connection only.

Thanks I was thinking that but have seen like videos where adaptors are possible to get CarPlay on an android but like £100 so wondered if anyone new about these or if they work or if there is an easier way to connect

I would but it means stripping out the dash board and air con, couple of hours work easy
