CarPlay connect to android device without speech option

Hi folks I just bought a 12 plate with an android screen installed has like in car phone but no buttons on the steering wheel for the unit apart from the main unit
I’m using an iPhone 13 plus and trying to connect CarPlay but asks me to tap the talk unit on the steering wheel which I don’t have with it being a android that didn’t come with the car any ideas how to connect CarPlay would be most appreciated thanks Ross
