Mystery knob

Can anyone suggest what this knob does ? Under the dashboard on a sprinter based motorhome.? Thought it might be for speaker balence but not the case

Looks like a fridge thermostat.

My guess is forward and back for the electric motor on your side canopy to deploy and retract?

Wouldn't it be a lot easier to have the engine running, handbrake on, and pull/twist the knob and see what happens?

Thanks guys ,Puddenchucker you have nailed it .The reason I found it was that I was stripping the dash down [unsuccessfully ] to get to the evaporator on a Diavia aftermarket A/C which must have a small leak that no one is able to find .What does the knob adjust ? assume its something that done when the system is set up due to the fact its so well hidden.
