I bought a tom tom go 500 on monday, love it to bits, and read in other peoples reviews comments about the touch screen getting covered in finger prints.

Ive never had a touch screen widget before - if you use your nails for clicking and draging, is the screen likely to develop small scratches over time?

I doubt it. I've been using my fingers and nails on mine since I got it, and no problems here. I don't know what they make them out of,but it's tough stuff.

get a packet of screen protectors for a couple of quid from somewhere like expansys. Not only do they er um er protect the screen, but they make it much easier to read in sunlight too.

Sorry for the late reply. If you get the ones from expansys that they suggest for the Sony P900, they are exactly the right size. HTH

Use yer grubby mits.

Screen protectors are one option, but I'm not a fan. I have a pen with a stylus bit built in...

I play a lot of solitaire on my PDA and I use my nails and fingers. You can quite clearly see where the scratches start from the pile of cards and drag out over the screen. When the screen's switched on, you can't really notice them, but with the screen off, they look unsightly.
