As above, I’d assume that technology has moved on and that they are fairly useless. But is that true? When I got my car it came with the Tracker book pack etc but I have never used it.

Would one be likely to meet the S7/S5 standard that insurance generally asks for

Would welcome any insight.

I think that they are all so easily jammed that even the modern ones don't offer much protection.

I save the money and use an insurer that doesn't insist on Tracker.

I mean watching AutomatricsMTrack youtube channel has taught me that they are NOT easily blocked.

Or is the channel being selective with their videos?

I’m thinking mostly for insurance reasons to be honest. Re-enabling an old Tracker seems like the easiest way to do that.

He isn't selective. Their product is good and works slightly differently to the normal trackers. I have used their Mtrack unit for years and have faith in it. I use it in addition to another tracker. I am a bit paranoid to be fair as my car is not high on the 'theft' list but I like to be reassured lol

If it’s that old then in my experience they won’t reactivate it anyway, Tracker will insist on replacing it because the internal batteries are past their expiry date.

Exactly as noted above.. my Gallardo had a tracker fitted in 2015 and they have even refused to reactivate that, despite it being a model that is still onsale.
