Low cost location trackers. This topic has probably been done to death over the years, but as tech is always moving on...

I have a few cars, none of them on the thieves' current "most wanted" list. However it would be handy to be able to know where each one is at any given time because:
1) Mrs D and I often have to swap cars in the middle of the day as we share drop-off and pick up duties. This saves us having to inform the other precisely where we've parked.
2) Mrs D has a job where she can't easily duck out to send me a message to say "sorry, not left work yet". So it means I can check if my car is still where I left it or if she's halfway home.
3) tracking a nicked car is a sort of happy additional ability, but not really the driver for this.

I've got some Pebblebee trackers on pre order (think Airtags for the Google "Find my device" network) so the plan is to stick one in each car. About £25 delivered each, so not expensive. The "you are being stalked" warnings aren't a concern, we'll both have access if that's possible in configuration just to avoid becoming complacent about said warnings.

I know some do the same with Airtags and the like, but has anyone got experience of any other low cost tracking systems? What have you got and how do you find it?
