Hi all,

I've just bought a new phone, I haven't started using it yet but already I'm having doubts. smile

It's a Samsung S21 Ultra, and it's a right slab, with a 6.8 inch screen. I haven't weighed it but I can feel that it's heavier than my previous phone.

I use a Scosche mount in my car, attached to the dashboard, I prefer this over attaching to windscreen. I'm not worried too much about the magnets but I think the weight of my new phone will pull the mount off the dash.

Has anyone had this problem, can anyone recommend a good mount for a smartslab of a phone?

TIA.

Brodit - you buy two pieces, one for your phone and one for your car. Expensive but well worth it.

That looks interesting, I'll check that out, thanks.

An alternative I guess is this kind of thing, but I'm not sure I'm ready for landscape in the car. smile

Another alternative is to glue the phone mount to the dash, but also a bit radical.

Quadlock. I did a run over the mountain section of the IOM on my motorbike with a Pixel , 160mph with some wheelies etc and it was rock solid. Got one in my car too and it doesn't move at all.

The advantage of a windscreen sucker mount is you can position it so the bottom of the bracket is resting on the dash if the phone's very heavy. I have a basic Halfords wireless charging one and it copes fine with my wife's Chinese brick as well as my smaller S22.
