Hi,

Recently purchased an '89 911 3.2 carrera targa, came with a cobra 7777 remote for the immobiliser. The buttons are gone, but I can use a small piece of wire to activate each one. I purchased a used keyfob to try and program it, but soon noticed that I don't have the PIN code to program with. I found the immobiliser box - it's a Cobra 1984. However, since discovering this, I also noticed that there is a touch key receptacle within the glovebox; I didn't get a touch key when I bought the car. Any advice on what to do?

Just remove it from the car.

Buy a replacement touch key and have it reprogrammed. But anyone who seriously wants your car will be able to bypass it in matter of minutes.

spend more than the cost of a new one chasing down parts from the 1980s to fix it up
