Mitec Mio worth a look if your buying

I just purchased a Mitec Mio 269 and am pretty impressed with it. Some of the software is a little awkward in places but overall I'm pretty impressed.

Recently went from Bilbao, to Dover, via Provence and it performed very well, with just one memory allocation issue. The Mio 269 has a 2.5Gb hard disk that contains all the euro maps, so no messing with memory cards, and room for 500Mb of Mp3's.

Its cheaper than a Tom Tom with all the maps and if you follw a few steps on the web you can convert it to a standard Windows CE device, so you get a pocket PC for your money.

take a look http://www.mio-tech.be , there is a new software release in Oct that allows additional POI's and hopefully will solve a few bugs.
