Speed camera detection

New Job, 80 mile commute, lots of 20& 30 zones......
Was caught speeding on M1, recently......no argument - missed sign and there was also previous signs saying camera not in use.....but this one was live.

This morning, mobile radar on opposite side of road in a 30......might have been doing 34/35.....not sure was slowing down but,probably not quick enough.

Can anybody recommend a device which is GOOD, not bothered about cost.......but it needs to flag up audibly loud when there are mobile police radars.

Need to keep my job and a previously clean licence has been destroyed in the space of 6 weeks,

Absolutely hate this, have thought about non-detectable plates, but I've always been law abiding !!

Waze has saved me several times now. Not perfect, but I don't travel without it now.

The problem with WAZE it only give you a visible alert on approach to cameras when you are under the limit. If you are over the limit on approach then you'll get the audio warning but in reality that can be too late to react. Some suggest AmiGo as an alternative but I've not tried it yet.

I can't undertand why the WAZE developers won't include the audible alert on approach even when you're under the limit. It can't be that hard to enable?

I find Google maps navigation quite good at flagging up all kinds of speed enforcement (I presume shared info with Waze as Google owns them). Keep one eye on the screen and you can generally see it upcoming, in addition to the audio warning.

Also, I know this sounds dumb, but you might want to try obeying the speed limits for a few months. If you're now doing an 80 mile route you're not familiar with, setting out to do ten over each limit is likely to result in getting caught out now and again. Once you've had a few months back and forth along the route you'll have a much better idea where the local rozzers and talivans like to hang out (they're lazy as, so keep going back to the same spots), and correspondingly a better idea of where you can get away with pushing on and saving a bit of time.

Thanks, I am trying to stick to the speed limit, but to be honest an hour and half commute each way, and I do wander on the speed inadvertently.

Have tried waze, but agree with comment if already over. I have a Tesla and have configured the audible warning.

Has anyone got the road angel setup? Whats that like?, used to have a Good reputation.
