Why would you ever do this!?

My audio was sounded st ever since I bought the car, so whilst the M3 was off the road for the winter, I thought I’d investigate…..Eventually I found this in the boot!


A previous owner had cut the front right + wire and bridged it to the front left + wire! WHY WOULD ANYONE DO THIS?

I’m baffled!

Presumably one channel on the amp had failed so they just run left and right off the remaining one.

A class D amp certainly isn't going to be happy with that bodge!

That makes a lot of sense! The original professional radio/amp failed, hence the aftermarket Alpine head unit. I won’t bother putting the old radio/amp on eBay then! Thanks
