Hi,

I have a Blackvue 770x, it's hardwired to the car battery for parking mode and although not currently causing problems I don't like to leave unnecessary load on the car battery.
I know there's dedicated battery packs out there but they come with a a fair cost.

Anyone wired up a cheaper alternative?

Hi,

My dash cam is hardwired to the car.

When the ignition is off and the car is parked I do this when I want to continue recording.

Connect the dash cam via a USB cable to a stand alone power bank - the type used for phones.

The dash cam is a Nextbase so it's easy to disconnect the hard wire cable at the dash cam and connect the power bank.

I don't know about your fitting system.

The power bank lasts overnight, for example, with ease.

Unfortunately the blackvue has its own dedicated plug which isn't a USB as its hard wired into the car fuse box at present.
I was just wondering if anyone has made a setup that chargers from car and has their camera hooked up to it
