I have older Android phones and sat navs which are generally charged at 2 amp

I have a waterproof USB charger for my motorcycle which I'm happy with and want to buy some more of the same type for my other bikes but I find has now been revised and increased to 5amp

Will this cause any issues ?

No it will charge at the rate allowed by the device.

Consider amperage how much electron stream. In this way, if the link ("pipe") permits just 1.1A of current ("electron stream"), the issue will be the difference in stream limit ("pressure change") assuming that the source gives 2.0A. So the outcome will overheat of the wire (pipe) due to the more slow development of current through it because of the amperage (stream limit) contrast. At the point when electrons move, they lose energy into the climate.

Exactly!

There is much confusion and misunderstanding of what USB is and what it does when in fact the very name Universal Serial Bus says it all as in, Any USB device can be plugged into any USB port, and that includes 'Crapple' devices for which they commonly give warnings which in reality are purely in order to frighten people into buying their proprietary (and expensive) Lightning cables.

The worst which can happen is that a device might take longer to charge then it might with the charger it came with.

Praise be that 'Crapple' have been forced by the EU to adopt USB C and to steal a line from "Tolkein One ring to rule them all!"

A tip: caught out with a charging cable but no charger, remember that every Smart TV will have at least one USB socket and similarly virtually all satellite TV boxes will have one which you can plug into for a charge.
