Orange SPV M2000 and Navigation Software
Discussion
Just looking at upgrading my phone to an SPV M2000, firstly anyone got one on here that can give me an unbiased opinion, secondly I wanted to try and use the handset with some form of navigation software (Tom Tom?) anyone done this? if so how easy is it to set up and use? and where could I find the software.

Thanks in advance for your help

I've been running an SPV M2000 with TT Navigator 5 for a while now, and it's proved to fairly problem free. One key tip is to update to version 5.1 of TTN5 as soon as you get the software installed - update via the Tom Tom website. This disbales the auto-detect of the built in keyboard and gives you a screen-based keyboard, which is loads better for entering postcodes etc for setting up routes. This update also seems to clear up a problem I had with irregular pairing with my bluetooth GPS - all now solved post update.
Like some of the earlier posts, I don't use the M2000 as a phone - however, as a pda it's great. The new M5000 that was mentioned may be worth a look though....

Hi I'm new here but have just been looking to see what experiences you've had with GPS and the SPV M2000. I note some people experience the same problem as I do (have had 5 M2000's all the same, but apparently I have just been unlucky and no-one else has the problem) with calls made or received and no sound in or out. I cure the problem by enabling bluetooth then disabling (quicker than reset) and I can sometimes do it without loosing the call.
Has anyone used the ThinkNAVI cradle with M2000 and if so what software.
