Sat Nav for South America

Do any of you know if there is sat nav available for South America. My father-in-law is doing a rally of about 8000km and although has pace notes provided would like sat nav if possible. Can anyone help with any information.

Don't know about that. I travelled by bus all the way from Caracas to santiago then across to Rio (not in one go). You are travelling on no more than dirt tracks winding through the andes so I can't imagine the sat nav saying at the next junction turn right.
